VITAL WALT DISNEY SITES
- The Walt Disney Family Museum A mecca for all who want to learn and know more about Walt Disney and his legacy.
- D23 The Official Community for Disney Fans. A must!!
- Disney History Didier Ghez's site is easily the best way to keep track of Disney History on the internet.
- Michael Barrier My Guru! By far and away the most intelligent and thought-provoking site on the Internet in regards to Walt and Disney animation.
DISNEY ANIMATED FEATURES
Alice in Wonderland This is the site for anyone interested in Walt Disney's version of Alice in Wonderland (and all the collectible mania associated with it). I know this guy (HEY), and this is what passion is about!
DISNEY ANIMATED SHORTS
DISNEY ANIMATION
Hans Perk Thoughtful and passionate site about classical animation. An invaluable resource as well, due to the posting of many historical documents (drafts, memos, ephemera, etc.).
DISNEY HISTORY
Didier Ghez Disney History Truly the central repository for finding Disney History on the web. Many enthusiasts start their day on this site to find information of interest to the Disney Historical Community.
DISNEY PEOPLE
Claude Coats Another one of my favorite interviews. I spent time with Claude at the Disney Dinosaurs Meeting I used to take Ken Anderson to each Thursday afternoon. Claude was soft spoken, but always willing to answer questions. Sadly, his career is understated, but his importance to Disneyland history is vast (easily one of the top two or three). His career in animation is equally impressive. I got to know his lovely wife Evie who also shared stories with me. When I was doing POV, his son Alan helped me along too. Wonderful family!
Harriet Burns Of the 250 interviews I have done with Disney old-timers, Harriet was one of my all-time favorites. Always gracious. Always giving. Always enjoyable. A wonderful site about her life and work, with information on ordering the recently published book (DHI review coming soon).

DISNEYLAND
Davelandblog No, not a typo, but a wonderful site filled with vintage rare (and new) photos of the Happiest Place on Earth. Insightful commentary as well (with the sensibility of someone who truly cares!).
Stuff From The Park An enjoyable trip down memory lane with a look at Disneyland's past through the ephemera and artifacts. A wealth of historical information with wonderful information and anecdotes.
Yesterland One of the earliest (and best) sites on the bygone days of Disneyland. It has always been one of my favorites, and Werner Weiss has put his heart and soul into this remarkable site.

GENERAL DISNEY
2719 Hyperion A true cornucopia of everything Disney related, from current features and all the way back to the early days of Walt. Extensive and graphically appealing. One of my favorite stops each week.
Imagineerding Another one of my favorite stops. An eclectic collection of all things Disney, and a nice weekly wrap up of interesting Disney posts on the blogosphere. Always entertaining and informative.
Progress City, U.S.A. I have to admit, I was insanely jealous over this name. Having written the book on Disney's involvement in the 1964 New York World's Fair, I really felt this was the perfect name. However, I was elated to find out that the individual that runs it is awesome, and the blog matches the owner. A great look at all things Disney, with serious emphasis on the history.

MERCHANDISE
Disneyland Postcard Reference Guide For fans of the nickel tour of Disneyland (with all apologies to Bruce and David), my friend Ken Eslick's site on the Disneyland postcards and all the variations, rarity, and essential minutia is a great stop.
Vintage Disney Collectibles 1928-1945 The items available through Disney licensing in the 1930s are my favorite. No where do you find the variety in Disney items, or the eclectic nature, as you do with period of time. Easily the single best site exploring the early merchandise.

WORLD WAR II
Toons At War Run by my friend David Lesjak, this is an awesome site dealing with the tremendous contributions by Walt Disney towards the war effort. Fascinating site, and easily the single place to find out about the collectibles and items for the homefront.
