In the continuing saga of the Disney characters promoting Standard Gasoline and Products via their popularity I offer up this wonderful piece from the Institute’s archives. The original measures well over six feet tall and was a dealer promotional poster for September 1939. The “unsurpassed” is seen on a good amount of the artwork (there is a great one on the DHI Facebook page), as it was one of the key words in Standard Oil’s overall advertising and marketing scheme.

Check out the Institute’s Facebook page for some additional Disney/Oil related promotional items (and always an active and ongoing discussion of Walt Disney history): DHI Facebook Group
