| Walt holds the Jungle Cruise Congo Queen boat, from the Disneyland television show “A Trip Thru Adventureland/Water Birds” which aired on February 29, 1956. The flat bottom on this WED boat model, indicates it was a table top boat, meant to sit on simulated water and give the appearance of cruising down the river. Also of note, is this is a “one entrance” boat. This model was done before Imagineer George Whitney, Jr., convinced everybody that an exit should be put at the back of the boat to save on load time. |
