Another view (one hour later? — literally and figuratively?) featuring a different view of the
WED Model Shop on the Studio lot. Walt is standing in front of a different Matterhorn model
showcasing the entire finished track layout. Of note are the various models on the window
ledge, a reason that this destination was a popular hangout for Studio employees during the
lunch hour, to see the latest, crazy models being done by Walt’s crew. According to Harriet Burns it
was this preponderance of Looky-Loos that inspired Walt to look for a separate location for WED
while top secret design work was underway for the 1964 New York World’s Fair.
